On July 6, a fire mitigation sprinkler malfunctioned and flooded the upper clay studio, several offices, and other areas in the southwest section of The Art Center.

Everything has been removed from those areas, and there will be extensive rebuilding to fix the damage caused.

The Summer 2026 class session was underway at the time. The remaining class sessions thereof have been cancelled.

The Fall 2026 class session that would have run from mid-August to early October has also been cancelled.

We currently expect to have everything finished in time to run our usual ceramics courses for the Holiday session starting in mid-October.

We do not expect other programming to be impacted.
