Help Support
Art in the Valley…..
Be a Sponsor
The Art Center relies on the support of
corporations and individuals to sponsor its
many events and programs. Without this
community support, many of the exhibitions
and programs would not be possible.
Sponsorships are available at all levels
from presenting sponsors to contributing
sponsors.
The following are just some of the
opportunities:
Spring Art
Week
– Be a sponsor of an arts program that
reaches over 3,900 children. Every year for
a week and a half, Spring Art Week
introduces school children to a variety of
arts including oil painting, water coloring,
sketching, blacksmithing, and batiking. For
many this is their first look at the
creation of an art piece.
Summer Art
Camp
– Be a sponsor of one of the most popular
summer camps in town. Since 1987, Summer
Art Camp has taught over 350 children a year
and is widely publicized.
First
Friday Receptions
– Be a sponsor of the most popular art
event in town. Every First Friday of a
month except one, The Art Center opens its
doors to the public for the evening. Two to
three hundred people normally attend each
event. Many times First Fridays also
celebrate the opening of a new show. They
are widely publicized in the media.
Fine Art
Auction
– Be a sponsor of the most important event
in The Art Center’s year. Since its
inception in 1998, the Fine Art Auction has
attracted artists and buyers from across the
Western Slope and beyond. Actual auction
night usually has an audience of over 700
and is widely publicized. It is a two day
event.
Arts and
Craft Fair
– Be a
sponsor of the most popular event in The Art
Center’s year. Over 40 artists display and
sell their art works for the public to
purchase. The Art Center Guild offers baked
goods, and various art and craft items for
sale. The Fair is a popular venue to
purchase items for holiday shopping. Over
2,000 people attend over the three day fair.
Annual
Exhibitions
– Be a sponsor of one of The Art Center’s
popular exhibitions. Choose from the Member
Show, the Student/Instructor Show, the
Artist-in-Residence Show, or the Permanent
Collections Show. Each show runs one to two
months and is attended by well over 5,000.
Each show is widely publicized.
Special
Exhibitions
– Be a sponsor of one of The Art Center’s
very special exhibitions. Once a year, the
Contemporary Show highlights the works of
regional artists with a specific theme.
Other shows feature invited artists. All of
the shows run one to two months and are
widely publicized.
Private
Collection Exhibitions
– Occasionally, The Art Center gets the
opportunity to exhibit important private
collections. Often the first public viewing
of the art, this exhibit offers sponsors a
unique opportunity to be associated with a
once-in-lifetime event. Private collection
exhibits are usually two months in duration
and are, of course, widely publicized.
